Lots of people have been asking me about Microsoft Copilot recently – especially how it compares to SOFI. For those who haven’t played around with Copilot, I highly recommend you take the time to do so.

Both Copilot and SOFI provide you with a meeting summary, list of questions, action points, and a transcript. Copilot integrates across the Microsoft ecosystem (and is incredibly helpful with the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), but it only analyses Teams meetings.

SOFI analyses every meeting: in Person, Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, you name it. SOFI can be used for internal and external meetings, plus all events. It is calibrated to understand the language and vocabulary of the entire financial services industry – from asset management to the Independent Financial Planner.

So, what are the top 10 additional features that set SOFI apart?

  1. The six lenses: analysis across risk, return, liquidity, investment time horizon, portfolio fit and ESG
  2. Accuracy of language: more accurate summaries because SOFI is trained specifically for our industry of asset management and financial advice
  3. An open platform: can be used in-person, Teams or Zoom, as well as process any video or audio file
  4. Dashboard: surfaces targeted analytics across meetings and identifies trends
  5. Detailed analysis: examines question and content themes by audience type
  6. Benchmarking: compares your progress and performance against yourself, your team, your organisation and your peers
  7. Bespoke checklists: highlights the exact points you think are important across all meetings
  8. Minute creation: produces minutes that are fit for purpose of our industry
  9. Verbal disfluencies: captures and monitors verbal disfluencies (the ‘uhms and ahs')
  10. Objective personal training: provides an unbiased and consistent presentation training tool to be used across a team/ firm

New AI tools seem to be coming to market every week, and each has its place to help each and every one of us become more efficient and effective. For the asset management and wealth industry, that tool is already here – SOFI.

Today, SOFI is designed to provide in-depth and detailed analysis of any and every meeting. In the future, we will be doing a whole lot more, but for now, understanding the art and science of a great meeting is our top priority. We would love to hear your experiences of AI – what tools are you using and which have you found most helpful in your job?
