There are over 150 champions in League of Legends and all of them have unique abilities that allow them to differentiate themselves from the others. The best part is that some of the champions have spells that can damage turrets.
Turrets are strong structures in LoL that deal a lot of damage and have tons of HP and stats. They are there to ensure that you do not enter the enemy base without putting up a fight. Destroying them can take a long time depending on your damage.
These are the 5 strongest abilities that damage turrets in LoL:
- Ziggs’ Satchel Charge (W)
- Sion’s Unstoppable Onslaught (R)
- Tristana’s Explosive Charge (E)
- Ezreal’s Essence Flux (W)
- Nasus’ Siphoning Strike (Q)

10. Ziggs’ Satchel Charge
Starting off with the best ability that deals damage to turrets – Ziggs’ W. Normally, you can use it to damage the enemy, clear the wave, or knock back enemies if they get too close. Plus, you can even use it to get your character to jump and run away.
However, if the turret gets around 20% HP or so, you can use it to instantly destroy it. There will be a small indicator above the turret that you can destroy with your W. So, keep an eye out and instantly destroy towers without any issues.
This makes Ziggs one of the best champions against turrets and for pushing lanes. Since he can clear waves quickly, the enemy will always have a tough time against you.
9. Sion’s Unstoppable Onslaught
The second best ability that deals a lot of damage to turrets is Sion’s R. It allows you to literally become unstoppable and run in a straight line. While you can move around with your cursor, you cannot instantly turn.
If you hit your R on the turret, you will deal a lot of damage to it and everything around it as well. This is a great way to take down towers in the lane that you are pushing. Plus, even if you die, you can come back for a short duration thanks to your passive and hit the turret to deal even more damage.
While this has been nerfed – thankfully, you can still do a lot of damage to the enemy turret while they feel helpless against you.

8. Tristana’s Explosive Charge
Moving on to an ability that is one of my favorites and that deals tons of damage. Tristana’s E can allow you to place an explosive charge on an enemy minion, champion, or turret. After a few auto attacks, the charge will blow up and deal a lot of damage to the target and everyone around it.
While the charge blows up after a few seconds, you can speed up the process by attacking it. This is a great way to destroy turrets quickly and get the plate gold. Plus, if you combine the attack speed of your Q with it, you will become unstoppable.
Finally, this ability also deals damage to every enemy around if you kill a target with your auto attack. The charge does not need to be on them since this is a passive effect.

7. Ezreal’s Essence Flux
Talking about ADCs, we cannot leave out Ezreal. Thanks to his new W, he can attach it to any enemy champion, dragon, Baron, and turret. The thing that it is attached to will take enhanced damage from all of Ezreal’s attacks.
Since he can only use his auto attacks of the tower, attaching your W is a great way to deal more damage. Plus, if there are minions nearby, you can use your Q on them to not only clear them faster but also reduce the cooldown of your W.
6. Nasus’ Siphoning Strike
Nasus is a strong champion that takes time to get to his full potential. Since he has to stack his Q to increase its damage, you will feel quite weak in the early stages of the game. However, when you have a few stacks of it, you will deal tons of damage.
The best part is that this ability has a low cooldown and you can use it to damage the tower quickly. Plus, if you use your ultimate, your Q will have an extremely small cooldown, allowing you to become a monster at pushing the wave.
5. Camille’s Precision Protocol
Much like Nasus’ Q, you can use Camille’s Q to empower your auto attack and deal more damage to the turret. The best part is that since it has two parts, you can use both of them, making this a great ability to quickly destroy towers.
Your first part will deal a small amount of damage but your second one will deal a lot. If you have one or two items in your inventory, you can destroy the first tower extremely quickly since it doesn’t have a lot of high stats.

4. Twisted Fate’s Pick A Card
While this isn’t the best ability to destroy the tower, it has its own purpose. You can use Twisted Fate’s W to allow him to pick a card. You can choose between three cards; blue, red, and yellow. Each of them has its own special effects.
The blue card allows you to deal the most damage on your next auto attack and refund some of your mana. The red card deals a decent amount of damage to the target and everyone around them as well. Plus, it also slows everyone as well.
Finally, the yellow card has the lowest damage but it can stun the enemy target for a short duration. You can use all three cards on the turret but my favorite is to use the blue card.
You can refund your mana while dealing a lot of damage to the turret especially if you have Lich Bane in your inventory.
3. Garen’s Decisive Strike
Garen is one of the best beginner-friendly champions that can do a lot of things. He has a lot of damage, is mobile, quite tanky, and can sustain himself. Another thing that he can do is deal enhanced damage to the turret thanks to his Q.
His Q allows him to run faster, remove all slow effects from him, and deal more damage on the next auto attack. The best part is that since Garen does not have any mana, you only need to wait for the cooldown and you can spam this skill.
Use it to empower your attacks and quickly dispose of the turret.
2. Darius’ Crippling Strike
When we talk about Garen, we cannot leave Darius behind. The hand of Noxus is a strong champion that is a solid top lane pick. His W deals a lot of damage to the enemy and slows them as well.
While this ability is great at dealing additional damage and farming minions since it refunds your mana, it is also great at damaging turrets. Since it empowers your next auto attack, you can use it just like Garen’s Q and damage the turret quickly.
1. Twitch’s Spray and Pray
Finally, let’s talk about Twitch’s ultimate. While this isn’t necessarily the best ability in League of Legends to destroy turrets, it does allow you to take them down faster. This spell grants you additional attack speed, range, and damage.
Combine it with your Q attack speed and you will be a turret-destroying monster. Plus, your attack will go behind the turret as well if you attack it. So, if the enemy champion is standing behind, you will damage them as well.
Just remember to get out of turret range so that you do not take tower aggro.
