Is Creditfix a legitimate company? - Creditfix (2024)

Entrusting any company with your financial information is a big deal. If you’re struggling with debt and looking into companies who offer debt solutions, it’s only natural to want to make sure the provider you choose is legitimate.

In this article, we give you a bit of a background on Creditfix; who we are, what we do, who we’ve helped in the past, and why you can trust us to help you in the future.

Who are Creditfix?

Established in 2007, Creditfix has helped more than 160,000 people across the UK solve their debt issues. We’re now one of the UK’s largest personal insolvency practices.

With more than 70 years of experience between our insolvency practitioners in the financial industry, Creditfix has over 700 employees in sites across the UK, Canada, and Mauritius, all dedicated to providing people with the best possible debt advice.

Creditfix provides personal insolvency solutions for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, while its sister company, Carrington Dean, serves Scotland. Both companies are part of Finbora Group and work in accordance with respective government guidelines to provide free specialist and impartial advice to help people manage their debt.

What do Creditfix do?

Put simply, Creditfix helps people deal with their debt. Our expert debt advisers have an in-depth knowledge of insolvency and are highly experienced in helping clients find the right financial arrangement, which involves close consideration of their circ*mstances and lifestyle.

Creditfix specialises in a number of bespoke debt solutions, including:

– Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVA)
– Debt Arrangement Schemes (DAS)
– Debt Relief Orders (DRO)
Bankruptcy

At Creditfix we do our best to tailor solutions to individual needs based on best practice, and we understand that there’s no quick fix for problem debt. That’s why we also provide ongoing support to our customers in order to help them rebuild their finances longer-term.

Who does Creditfix help?

Debt can affect people of any gender, race, age, or income bracket. Thousands of people come to Creditfix every year, from all over the UK, looking for help when their debt problems become too much.

Some of our customers have found themselves in debt because their income doesn’t go far enough. For others, an unexpected expense turns their world upside down. Whoever they are, and whatever their situation, Creditfix strives to offer every single customer support, guidance, and practical solutions to problem debt.

To find out more about how Creditfix helps real people put problem debt behind them, you can take a look at our customer stories.

How does Creditfix work?

When someone contacts Creditfix, the first thing we do is listen. Everybody’s situation is unique, and our advisers want to gather as much information as possible about a customer and their financial troubles before recommending a solution.

Once they have a better understanding of the customer’s debt level and circ*mstances, our advisers will use that information to match the customer with the best debt solution for them. If the customer agrees to a plan and that plan is approved, Creditfix will support the customer throughout the length of the arrangement and help them on their journey towards a debt free future.

Unfortunately, not everyone who contacts Creditfix will be a good fit for the solutions we offer, but we don’t want to leave people out on a limb. We work in partnership with several debt charities – if a case isn’t a good fit for us, Creditfix will always look to pass it on to a partner who can offer further support and guidance.

Do Creditfix charge a fee?

Creditfix is a commercial entity, so we do take a fee for the financial agreements we arrange for our customers. That fee might be in the form of an upfront charge, or a percentage of a customers’ monthly payment, depending on the arrangement.

Because we charge a fee, we realise that our customers expert the highest level of customer service in return. Creditfix handles every step of the process for our customers; finding them an arrangement that helps both themselves and their creditors reach an amicable solution; dealing with problems quickly and efficiently; and offering our customers support in the short and long-term.

One thing Creditfix will never charge a fee for is advice. If a customer comes to us with a problem and we can find them the right solution, we’ll offer them expert debt advice free of charge, or point them in the direction of a partner better placed to help them.

Can I trust Creditfix?

In short, yes.

As one of the largest insolvency practitioners in the United Kingdom, operating in the heavily regulated financial services industry, Creditfix will always strive to do everything by the book, and support our customers in helping themselves out of debt.
