There is a tremendous amount of flavor going on here. I love it when you can put together a few simple ingredients and end up with something so delicious! Let’s face it, if bacon is involved, there are not many who can say no! I use it on everything, from fried cabbage to chicken casserole.

Hints And Tips To Make The Best Dirty Fries

  1. Read through the recipe several times to make sure you are familiar with all of the ingredients, equipment, and steps you will need to take to make the recipe. This also gives you a chance to pick up anything you don’t already have on hand.
  2. Assemble all of your ingredients and equipment before you begin. This can help to prevent you from leaving anything out, which is integral to the recipe, as well as streamline its assembly, allowing it to go together much more quickly.
  3. I like to use the frozen skinny French fries with the skin still on them. This adds interest, flavor, and fiber! You could, of course, cook your chips from scratch, but using frozen ones is a lot more convenient, and somewhat healthier. It’s also a lot less messy and much quicker than frying chips from scratch.
  4. I always cook the French fries on a baking sheet in the oven according to the instructions on the packet. I add the Worcestershire sauce and Cajun seasoning to them prior to baking, which really helps to get the flavors in there!
  5. I cook my bacon while the fries are baking. I don’t like to cook it overly crisp as it will cook a bit more when you add it to the topping.

Serving Suggestions for Dirty Fries

Contrary to the title, these delicious dirty fries are anything but dirty. They get their name from their appearance, which can be somewhat cluttered-looking! Then, they make an excellent finger food or snack to be served on game nights. However, ensure you have plenty of cold dips and ice-cold drinks, and pass the napkins!

They are not just reserved for snacks and entertaining, however. Then, they also make a fabulous side dish for the family, going very well served alongside most grilled meats and poultry. We also enjoy them with hot dogs or chicken burgers.

Let us face it, they are just plain delicious with everything!

Additionally, you can amp up the flavors by adding spicy ingredients such as raw or pickled jalapeno peppers, banana peppers, or even chopped tomatoes.

You can also drizzle them with thinned mayonnaise. (Just thin with a bit of milk.) I prefer to serve them with dips. Also, some great dips are Ranch or Thousand Island Dressing. You can also make a really tasty and spicy dip by mixing together equal parts of sour cream and sweet chili sauce!

I don’t like things overly spicy so I err on the side of caution when it comes to using Cajun spice. People can always add more at the table if they want to blow their socks off! Ranch dressing is also nice with these for dipping.
