Oni-Goroshi is a secret unique weaponwhich was added in Patch 3.1. It can only drop from Hillock after the player reaches level 7 - meaning you have to repeatedly clear the first area (The Twilight Strand) without completing the Enemy at the Gate quest. It is extremely powerful sword which always has 6 links, can be worn starting at level 2, and its' physical damage scales with player level - which means you never have to upgrade your weapon.

1. Gameplay

Molten Strike is one of the most powerful elemental/melee skills in Path of Exile. Melee hits with this weapon also cause balls of molten magma to be cast near your initial target. These are projectile attacks that deal Fire damage.

This Trickster build is based on full Fire damage conversion, very high Attack Speed, high Life, and Life Recovery from Patient Reaper passive. With proper gear, this build is capable of defeating all the bosses in Path of Exile and clearing all its' content. The reworked Trickster Ascendancy class is one of the best choices for this build.

3. Leveling tips

Oni-Goroshi is one of the best leveling items in the game. You can use it as soon as you reach level 2, it's relatively cheap, and it's also the core weapon for this build. Oni-Goroshi's weapon damage scale with your level and Molten Strike is available after completing the first quest which makes it even easier. You will be leveling up your core DPS setup right from the beginning, and all you need to upgrade in terms of your gear are Life/Res rares that you should find along the way.

Suggested leveling gemsetups:

Molten Strike setup
	Molten Strike- your primary attack skill. You can use it during leveling phase too
	Added Fire Damage Support- adds additional Fire Damage to your attacks
	Faster Attacks Support - greatly increases your Attack Speed

Leap Slam setup
	Leap Slam-your main mobility skill
	Faster Attacks Support - increases the "movement" speed of your Leap Slam skill

Utility gems
	Herald of Ash- adds additional Fire Damage to your attacks
	Lightning Golem- this golem will increase your Attack Speed
	Flammability- recommended curse for this build

Bandits:

We recommend killing all bandits for the additional 2 passive points

Oni-Goroshi- build-defining item. Since you can use it starting at level 2 it's just natural you should try to get it as soon as possible

Goldrim- the best leveling helmet. Will cover all your elemental resistances needs for over 50 levels
+(30-50) to Evasion Rating 10% increased Rarity of Items found +(30-40)% to all Elemental Resistances Reflects 4 Physical Damage to Melee Attackers Level Requirement reduced by 100 (Hidden)

Atziri's Foible - with 6 links for your Molten Strike setup it will cost a lot of mana. This amulet should do the job for the most part of the leveling phase
(20-30)% increased Mana Regeneration Rate +100 to maximum Mana (16-24)% increased maximum Mana (80-100)% increased Mana Regeneration Rate Items and Gems have 25% reduced Attribute Requirements

	Concentrated Effect Support - reduces Molten Strike explosions' radius and greatly increases their damage

[CURSE] Flammability/SR Spell Totem setups
	[2L]Spell Totem Support- you will create a Totem that will cast the Scorching Ray spell to reduce monsters' Fire Resistance
	[2L]Scorching Ray - Scorching Ray applies a stacking debuff that reduces Fire Resistance (the damage it deals is negligible)
	[2L]Faster Casting -increases the Cast Speed of your Curse (it has to be applied manually)
	[2L]Flammability- reduces cursed enemies' resistance to Fire

[MOBILITY] Leap Slam setup
	Leap Slam- your main mobility skill
	Faster Attacks Support- link it to your Leap Slam for faster movement
	Fortify Support - grants a very decent damage reduction buff on melee hits with your Leap Slam attack skill

[AURAS] Anger and Herald of Ash
	Anger- adds Fire Damage to spells and attacks
	Herald of Ash- increases Fire Damage dealt. Also increases your burning damage, which makes up for quite a bit of your total DPS
	Enlighten Support-reduces mana reserved by your Auras

[OTHER] Golem and Blood Rage
	Lightning Golem - increases your Attack Speed
	Blood Rage- increases your Attack Speed and provides Frenzy Charge generation mechanics. It deals damage to self which is reduced by Trickster Ascendancy and the chosen Pantheon gods

5. Gear Setup

This isa budget-friendly build, which is also a great starter build. Even though Oni-Goroshi is rather expensive, any player can get it by investing few hours to farm Hillock for it. Except for the sword, all the other gear can be Life/Res rares. Theywillallow you to farm currency for Kaom's Heart, which is the best in slot body armour for this build.

(Boots) Rare Life/Res boots- simply go for the highest stats you can afford

(Flask)Dying Sun- a very good Flask for this build. It grants additional Molten Strike's projectiles, greatly increasing your DPS. Also increases maximum Fire Resistance, which reduces the damage dealt to you while under the effect of Her Embrace buff (from Oni-Goroshi)

+50% to Fire Resistance +6% to maximum Fire Resistance (-10-10)% increased Charges used (15-25)% increased Area of Effect during Flask Effect Skills fire 2 additional Projectiles during Flask Effect

(Flask) The Wise Oak- provides additional Fire Damage penetration if your uncapped Fire Resistance is the highest

+35% to all Elemental Resistances During Flask Effect, 10% reduced Damage taken of each Element for which your Uncapped Elemental Resistance is lowest During Flask Effect, Damage Penetrates (10-15)% Resistance of each Element for which your Uncapped Elemental Resistance is highest
